The Main Event

Another catch up from break: Wedding Edition.

My best friend Lisa was married on January 2, 2014. One of the most beautiful days of my life. I admire and love this girl just like a sister, and I am so proud of her. James and I TOTALLY approve of the man she has chosen to share her life with. (While they were dating, we just kept saying to each other, "I love Greg! He's so perfect for us!")

We were lucky enough to be in Utah for the wedding and reception and we snapped a few pictures along the way. I apologize in advance for not fixing all of the sideways pictures...maybe someday when I have lots of spare time :)

The reception set-up:

I saw a whole other side of my husband during reception set up. He is so crafty!

The beautiful bride. Isn't she stunning?!

"Are you taking a picture of me? You better not be taking pictures of me right now!" Love this woman like a second mother :)
Figuring out the music
The main event: Wedding time!

Manti temple - a beautiful, albeit chilly (it was January, after all) day

Back to the reception:

Can you say AMAZING?!
Hot chocolate bar - so adorable
My favorite display - it made me tear up. The sign says, "A Legacy of Love" and there are wedding pictures from both the bride and groom's parents and grandparents. Such a beautiful tribute.

The happy couple.

Family Pictures

Another catch-up from our winter trip: Family Pictures Edition.

Family pictures are always an adventure, even if you don't have any children under the age of 10. But when you have 10 under the age of 10, it requires some superhuman speed and patience...and lots of marshmallows. We got some good pictures though (not so much with my camera, though these are fun), so maybe it was worth it :)

Rachel just had to try out the new Christmas toys :)

Such a sweet picture...too bad I am tech-impaired and couldn't flip it the right way.

Cross-Country Skiing

While we were in Utah over the break, we took a day to go cross-country skiing with everyone (minus Gramps - ha! - and Baby Michael). I can't even express how fun this was. And funny, too. For so many reasons that I will not be sharing publicly. Feel free to send me an email if you need a good laugh though :) Anyway, I have limited time today, so I will let the pictures tell all:

We went up American Fork canyon and didn't think there would be enough snow, but it turned out to be perfect. Icy enough to keep us all on our toes.
People were walking around on the lake that was clearly not frozen enough to be safe. Freaked me out a bit.
Jess was totally made for winter. She looked so cute.

The girls. Well, half of them. Jess's roomie from BYU-Hawaii came to spend the holidays with us. Love her.

Such a pretty tree. Too bad Michael's head got in the way. Just kiddin'. I just need to figure out how to work my awesome new camera.
Jess the very creepy winter beauty.
This was Anna's victory pose.

We had to take the skis off and walk part of the time. This was one of those times.

This series of pictures cracks me up every time without fail. Anna kills me. Every time.

Can you say gnome?
Ah, true love.

Lookin' good, kid.
Yeah, you too, princess.
So cute.
Love.

How fitting that this post should end with this picture. This sums up our experience pretty well...in more ways than one :)
