Summer Loving...Or Loving Summer

We had an awesome three day trip last week to Lake Billy Chinook in Central Oregon with the Portland fam. Here are some pictures from our adventures:

On our drive there, James and I drove through what looked like a pine tree graveyard. Dead trees for miles and miles. It was almost eerie.

We had such a fun day on the boat and were blessed with amazing weather. It was pretty hot and made it perfect to jump in the water and cool off a bit.
Aunt Tricia rocking the wake surf

Garrett loves having his picture taken

I love what the sun did to these pictures!

Probably my favorite picture..."Hit it guys! Guys...hit it! Guys, what are you doing?" Eventually she just gave up and decided to relax in the water.

We were doing first aid...just FYI.

Courtney's turn

Just a shout-out to this beautiful girl who planned most if not all of our food for the trip. We didn't even have time to photograph it because we ate it so fast. But can I just say - Peach Dump Cake. Wow. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I am still salivating just thinking about it.
I loved sitting on the boat with my cute man for a whole day. He was a great camping buddy - driving all over the state, setting up the tent, running to the potty at 3am with me so I didn't get attacked by the wild bunnies that roamed the campsite.

I love this picture...and this girl. She is all grown up now and thinks it is ok to leave us. I strongly disagree, but I know she is going to have an awesome time at college.

 Silly faces...

Brady's turn
Tubing time!

Random but awesome waterfall in the background
Garrett totally saved the day when he leaped off the dock to save Brady's sunglasses. He won the award for fastest reflexes.
I woke up early one morning to hear someone moving around outside our tent. I thought one of the little kiddos had woken up early and come to party in our tent. But when I stepped out, I saw this little lady. Can you spot her?

Our little tent that we borrowed from some sweet church friends.
Random, but lemon cucumbers from our garden.
Blackberry picking and an evening bike ride
Stay tuned for Hawaii pictures in the next couple weeks. My sweet sis is already there and I am so excited to meet her for a week! Love to all our family and friends!

The Great Outdoors

This week was filled with all kinds of fun outdoor activities! Although we did a lot, we didn't get too many pictures, but here's what we have.
We went for a little bike ride to the park. Emily is loving her new beach cruzer!

Once we got to the park, we read some more of Harry Potter. Just finished the 3rd one!

Later in the week, we went to a blueberry farm and picked 2 pounds of blueberries and they are awesome!

The blueberry farm was pretty cool. We were able to pick what we did from just two of the plants.

The weather was awesome this weekend so we went on a hike up at Mount Pisgah.

It was a short hike, but fairly steep up a gravel road. This is what we found at the top.

Along with a pretty amazing panoramic view of the area.

We also washed the car - which we hadn't done for a long time - and got some cool puzzles and books from Goodwill. All in all, it was a pretty awesome week! This coming week, we will be going camping, so stay tuned for next week's post!
